Description
another lame title! XD;
Secon one of my Vinca themed illusts =3
First one: [link]
Original sketch is here: [link]
I hated acrylics.... no, really, I hated them after trying to paint something last semestar and failing HORRIBLY DX....
But after seing a couple of really nice acrilic anime artworks hera and there, I thought I could give them a a try.
I always say "important assignments are not for experimenting of you wanna get a good grade", and this was an exam, so I was scared of screwing it up and having to start all over again Xox... but I conviced myself everything was gonna be alright and that if I screwed it I could awyas make a digital illust to replace it in half the time ...
So I decided to experiment a bit more and instead of using my oil/acrylic cardboard, I picked a piece of Tiziano ocre paper >O
And it worked! it didn't got ugly wirnkles aswhen I work with watercolor on watercolor paper, and it was actually fun! I think that for my first decent attempt at acrylics, it's not that bad, is it?
I got the highest grade for this one too and really good comments from my teacher, classmates and friends =3
I'm really happy! I think I'll do more acrylic works like thsi on the future and keep improving =3
BTW, the face on Vinca's shadow is supposed to be her drooling mask's face... not that her shadow actually has that face, but.. yeah...
Original size: 21x31,5 cms (no border)
Time spent: around... 5-7 hours (not counting sketching)
Tools: Tiziano paper ocre color, brushes, tube acrylic paint, toothbrush.
